Julia Lee D.M.A, a Concert Organist, Collaborative Pianist, Educator, and Church Musician.
BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Lee is currently working at Dallas College as an Adjunct Professor and collaborative pianist teaching music courses and playing for the choir in the music department . She also serves as an organist at Part Christian Community Church in Mesquite. She has served churches in Texas, Louisiana, and South Korea as a director of music and organist for thirty one years. As a parallel career as an educator, she taught at Wiley College, Texas Wesleyan University, Weatherford College, Northwestern State University, and Grambling State University as a music faculty and collaborative pianist. Therefore, Dr. Lee has established her career as one of the leading figure in North America and Asia as a concert organist, church musician, collaborative keyboardist, and educator.
Her recital appearances as a concert organist and collaborator include venues in Canada, South Korea, and Arkansas, California, Delaware, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Philadelphia, Tennessee, Texas, Washington D.C. in the States. She made her impressive debut at the Kennedy Center with the Korean Symphony Orchestra as a collaborative keyboardist. Highlights of performances and collaboration include concerts with the Las Colinas, Irving, Garland, Longview, Marshall Symphony and Shreveport Festival Orchestra, and choirs with the University of North Texas, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Northwestern State University, Grambling State University, Weatherford College, and Wiley College.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music and piano from Kosin University, an Master of Music in organ performance from KeiMyung University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas. Her organ studies have been with Drs. Jesse Eschbach, Choon Hae Kim. She has also coached with Marilyn Mason, David Higgs, Thomas Murray, Simon Preston, Joseph Butler, Gillian Weir, Piet Kee, and Marie-Claire Alain.
Dr. Lee is thrilled to share her vision to glorify God, encourage people, and inspire the community and the world through fine church music. She is doing her best to prepare the service music in each Sunday with spirituality, artistry, and musical excellence as the highlight of her weekly life.

WC choir to perform “Masterworks and More”
December 2, 2021 @ 5:30 pm
The Weatherford College choir will perform “Masterworks and More” under the direction of Rick Rainey on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.
Featured soloists during the concert are Finn Krier, soprano; Amy Vick, alto; Ethan Sebree, tenor; and Alex Cook, bass. Dr. Julia Lee is the accompanist.
The program will include “In These Delightful, Pleasant Groves” by Henry Purcell, “Te Deum” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Zigeunerleben” by Robert Schumann and “You Do Not Walk Alone” by Elaine Hagenberg.
